Ayla Femme is one track among several. It gathers homes where everyone in the household made the same choice, the women already living there and the women arriving. Every introduction on this track is reviewed by a person at Ayla before it happens, so the choice rests on something you can trust.
Where this comes from
We did not invent this preference; we heard it. When we asked the tenants at Orchard 13, the flatshare we ran in Bonnevoie, what mattered most in a home, many of the women wanted the same thing: a flatshare of women, chosen on purpose rather than by accident.
Finding a home like that in Luxembourg was harder than it should have been. Ayla Femme is our answer: a track where that choice is simply available, held open by the way the matching works.
How the women-only track works
The boundary works in both directions
Homes on this track are introduced only to women, and the women in them meet only people who chose the same track. Men never see women-only homes, at any step of the matching.
Identity is checked before you meet
Identity is checked before any introduction: always for the woman arriving, and in every home that forms through Ayla, for everyone in it. The check confirms each person against an official photo ID, so a name and a face are real before anyone meets. See how introductions work.
One track among many
Ayla is open to everyone, and most homes on Ayla are mixed. Femme is simply there for the women who want it.
Meet Elena
Elena Petrescu is Ayla Femme’s ambassador. She builds communities for women in Luxembourg, and she has lived in flatshares herself, so she knows the ups and downs first-hand. She keeps Ayla Femme honest. She listens to the women who use it, and makes sure the track stays true to what women asked for in the first place.
